This season, Michael Foyle makes concerto debuts with Rotterdam Philharmonic, English Chamber Orchestra and Polish Baltic Philharmonic. In Autumn 2018, he releases his Great War Centenary Recital CD for Challenge Records International and in early 2019 he will release the complete violin and piano works of Lutoslawski and Penderecki on Delphian Records.
Michael won The Netherlands Violin Competition, Royal Overseas League String Competition, Salieri-Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition and BBC Young Musician of the Year Tabor Award. Recent recital debuts include Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre, Het Concertgebouw, New York Chamber Music Festival, Cervantino Festival (Mexico) and Evgeny Mravinsky Festival (St. Petersburg).
Alongside his solo work, he is regularly invited as Guest-Leader of BBC Symphony Orchestra, The Halle and London Conchord Ensemble, and is Violin Professor at Royal Academy of Music. Represented by Interartists Amsterdam and also a City Music Foundation ambassador, he plays a Gennaro Gagliano violin from 1750.
